About the Author

Andrew Littlejohns is a partner in Freshfields' Asset Finance Group in London. He joined Freshfields in 1983, and has specialised since then in aircraft finance. He became a partner in 1987. Stephen McGairl is a partner of Freshfields with over 20 years experience of international aircraft transactions. He has worked in the London, Paris and Moscow offices of the firm. He is a member of the Study Group of Unidroit which has developed the draft Convention on International Interests in Mobile Equipment.
