About the Author

Julia Au

Julia Au is a barrister at Sir Oswald Cheung's Chambers. She practices in all areas of work, with emphasis on civil cases involving trust and probate, land (compulsory sale, adverse possession, title declarations, building management), and Chinese customary law. She holds a JD and PCLL from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She has a BA in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at Somerville College, University of Oxford.

Moses Kong

Moses Kong is an experienced litigation solicitor with extensive experience in probate and trust law. Having worked as a barrister-at-law with a diverse practice, he advised and represented clients in courts of all levels. He is also an accomplished accredited mediator and actively assists in both private and university mediation courses. His publications include topics such as conflict of laws, probate and trust laws. Moses also enjoys utilizing his skills to assist people in need and thus maintains a strong connection to both the local as well as the international community through pro bono and volunteer services with various charitable organizations.

Sasha Allison

Sasha Allison is a barrister specialising in all areas of family law. Sasha is a trained family mediator, member of the Hong Kong Family Law Association, a contributor to the Hong Kong Law Reports & Digest and Hong Kong Court of Final Appeal Reports. In recognition of her expertise in family law, she has been elected a Fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers. She also teaches Family Law at the University of Hong Kong.

Chantel Lin

Chantel Lin is a practising barrister in Hong Kong. She is a member of the Bar’s Committee on Land, Trust and Probate. She has been appointed as a China Legal Consultant of Jiangsu FD Yongheng Law Firm of PRC since 2016. Her main areas of practice include PRC cross-border litigation, property litigations, trusts and probate litigations, company and commercial disputes.

Jethro Pak

Mr. Jethro Pak has vast experience in civil advocacy work, in particular personal injuries proceedings. He is experienced in advising all matters in relation to personal injuries actions, including the use of powers of attorney, the setting up of mental health committee under the Mental Health Ordinance, and obtainment of approval for settlement for fatal claims or mentally incapacitated persons. Jethro holds a bachelor degree in Engineering before obtaining his JD in the University of Hong Kong. He is currently a member of Admiralty Chambers.
