The basic tenet of Common Law is revising past judgments. As Malayan Law Journal celebrates 80 years of journeying with the Malaysian Legal fraternity, this publication is a collection of some of the most interesting articles and judgments reported in the Journal over the years.

The book is divided into 2 parts. Part 1 is a collection of articles published in the Journal over the years, highlighting how judicial decisions have contributed to groundbreaking changes on the Malaysian legal landscape. Each article is followed by a brief summary of the main case or cases referred to in the article concerned. Part 2 is a collection of judgments of some of the high profile cases that made the headlines, both locally and internationally.

The collection of cases in this book provides readers with a retrospective look at the people and circumstances that form the basis of the judgments, which in turn have influenced Malaysian jurisprudence.
