About the Author

Resnick, Alan N.is the Benjamin Weintraub Distinguished Professor of Bankruptcy Law at Hofstra University School of Law, in Hempstead, New York. Professor Resnick, who has taught for more than 25 years, is a nationally recognized authority on bankruptcy law.
Rogoff, Adam C.
 
ADAM C. ROGOFF is a partner in the Financial Restructuring Group of Cadwalader, Wickersham and Taft. Prior to that, he was a partner in the Business Finance & Restructuring Department of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP. His practice focuses on complex transactional, litigation and advisory work relating to business restructuring, commercial finance, chapter 11 bankruptcy cases, non-bankruptcy workouts and pre-packaged¿ chapter 11 cases. He has extensive experience in asset-based financing, and real and personal property acquisitions and dispositions, including the purchase of substantially all assets of a chapter 11 debtor. Mr. Rogoff is co-editor of the bankruptcy sections for Inside Litigation and Attorney Fee Awards Reporter. He is a General Editor of the Collier International Business Insolvency Guide, and is a contributing author for Collier on Bankruptcy, 15th Ed. Revised and for Collier Bankruptcy Manual, 3d Ed. Revised and co-author of numerous professional materials concerning, ,inter alia, leveraged buyouts and fraudulent transfers, lender liability, and transnational bankruptcies. Mr. Rogoff is a certified mediator included on the Register of Mediators for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. He received his J.D. with honors from the New York University School of Law.
 
 
RICHARD F. BROUDE, who practices law in New York City, graduated cum laude from the University of Chicago Law School. He has practiced insolvency and bankruptcy law for 25 years, after having taught for five years. He is a member of the National Bankruptcy Conference and American Law Institute, a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy and Co-Chair of the Insolvency and Creditors' Rights Committee of the Section on Business Law of the International Bar Association. Mr. Broude is a member of the New York, California and Illinois Bars. He is also a member of the Board of Editors of Collier on Bankruptcy, 15th Ed. Revised, a General Editor of the Collier International Business Insolvency Guide, and a Contributing Editor to the Collier Bankruptcy Practice Guide.
Sommer, Henry J. is a leading authority on consumer bankruptcy law and has litigated many major cases involving bankruptcy, consumer law, civil rights and other issues. He is the Supervising Attorney at the pro bono Consumer Bankruptcy Assistance Project in Philadelphia and formerly served as the head of the Consumer Law Project at Community Legal Services in Philadelphia. Mr. Sommer has also served as a Lecturer-in-Law at the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
