Details

This book adopts a practical approach to the exposition of what is generally a complex subject. It states the principles of company law plainly and directly to drive home the relevant points. It draws from case law of various jurisdictions, including the United Kingdom and Australia, wherever relevant, in considering the local cases. A salient feature of the text is that the facts of most of the cases referred to have been set out in some detail to facilitate a better understanding of the decisions and underlying legal principles. The provision of the facts also obviates the necessity for the reader to refer to a casebook or original report for the basic facts.

Another salient feature of the text is that it draws liberally and sets out excerpts from some of the more important judgments under consideration so as to enable the reader to appreciate the judicial process in arriving at the decisions.
