The first edition of this book was published in 1987, which was the 50th anniversary of the Constitution's adoption and the 2nd edition published in 2004. This new edition brings the reader completely up to date with developments in the last decade. There is far greater emphasis on the role of the EU for obvious reasons, than in the last edition. Significant developments in other jurisdictions, especially in the UK, Canada and Australia, and also at the European Court of Human Rights, are noted.
