Construction Contract Essentials in Hong Kong is written with construction professionals in mind. The book consists of eight chapters that range from the interpretation of construction contract to contractual termination and alternative dispute resolution. Each chapter is divided into sections that cover specific issues, making it easy for readers to find a particular topic. Key case laws regulating the main areas of contractual disputes in the construction industry are discussed.

About the Author

Gary Soo is a practising barrister and chartered engineer. He has been practising in areas of civil litigation involving commercial and construction disputes and arbitration for over twenty years. From 2008 to 2010, he served as the secretary-general of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre. He was also the president of the Hong Kong Institute of Arbitrators from 2006 to 2008 and from 2010 to 2011.
