About the Author

Colvin, E

 

Eric Colvin has been Professor of Law at Bond University since 1989 and was Dean (1995-2000). He was previously Professor of Law at the University of Saskatchewan and has also taught at the Universities of Stirling, Edinburgh, New Brunswick, Adelaide and British Columbia.

McKechnie, J

 

John McKechnie is a judge in the general division of the Supreme Court of Western Australia. At the time of his appointment in 1999, he was the first Director of Public Prosecutions for Western Australia. Justice McKechnie previously served as a general counsel regularly representing the State in the High Court and all Western Australian courts.
