About the Author

Clarisse von Wunschheim
 
Von Wunschheim has been practicing law since 2002 in the area of international arbitration and litigation with a special focus on transnational disputes involving European companies.

Von Wunschheim has worked for a major law firm in Zurich, where she assisted clients in litigation and arbitration proceedings in the areas of corporate, general contract, and inheritance law, and for two major international law firms in Beijing, where she advised and represented foreign (primarily European) companies in commercial disputes regarding general contract law, joint ventures and other foreign direct investment projects, and intellectual property (IP) disputes. She also worked as a legal clerk at the District Court of Zurich.

Von Wunschheim is a member of the International Bar Association and the Swiss Arbitration Association (ASA).

She received her master’s degree summa cum laude and the degree of Dr. iur. from the University of Fribourg in Switzerland.

She is the author or co-author of articles on arbitration law in China. In addition, she has spoken at conferences and seminars and given lectures at universities on legal issues relating to doing business in China, such as arbitration, IP protection, and starting up a company.

Enforcement of Commercial Arbitral Awards in China is the edited version of her doctoral thesis submitted on September 16, 2009, and accepted in November 2009 by the faculty of law of the University of Fribourg in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Dr. iur.
