About the Author

James Stewart

James is a partner in Manches’ top ranked family department and chairs the firm's International Wealth Group which focuses on the needs of family offices, relocating individuals, entrepreneurs and their families.  He is widely regarded as a family lawyer with a commercial edge. 

He is a Governor of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (IAML) and specialises in complex financial cases which often have an international dimension.  He is a member of the International Section of the American Bar Association (ABA) and has a particular interest in the development of family law in the Russia Federation and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). 

James is a member of the Times Law Panel, an advisory body of 100 of the UK’s most prominent lawyers and is the only family lawyer featured in The Lawyer's ‘Hot 100’ 2011 which highlights those lawyers who were at the top of their game and who are set to shape the legal landscape in the year ahead.
