About the Author

James Stewart is a family lawyer with specific expertise in complex financial cases which often have an international dimension. He is widely regarded as a family lawyer with a commercial edge. James is admitted to practice as a solicitor in both England and Wales and in Northern Ireland. He is a Governor At Large of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (IAML) and a member of the International Section of the American Bar Association (ABA).

In 2003, James was one of the first lawyers in England to train in collaborative law. He is a founder member and chair of Collaborative Family Law, a group of leading family lawyers committed to resolving family differences through discussion and agreement rather than using the court process. He is also a Resolution Accredited Specialist Family Lawyer and a member of the Times Law Panel, an advisory body of 100 of the UK’s most prominent lawyers.
