This book focuses on the accounting principles (with emphasis on local practices) and readers are guided on the preparation, presentation and reporting of financial statements that are in compliance with MFRSs, or with MPERS.

This latest 6th Edition now has 23 chapters, compared to 18 previously, where certain contents have been split into different chapters for clarity. Where applicable, each chapter now contains references to MPERS, for private entities that choose to adopt MPERS instead of MFRS, and key differences between MPERS and MFRSs are also highlighted.

There are more than 500 practical examples, with emphasis on the more complicated standards such as MFRS 10 Consolidated Financial Statements, as well as the newer standards, i.e. MFRS 15 Revenue from Contracts with Customers and MFRS 16 Leases.
