About the Author

The Honourable Justice RP Austin is a Justice in the Equity Division of the Supreme Court of New South Wales where he has decided some of the most important corporate law cases in recent times. He is a distinguished author and Challis Lecturer in Company Law at the University of Sydney.

Professor Ian Ramsay is the Harold Ford Professor of Commercial Law at the Melbourne Law School and the Director of the Centre for Corporate Law and Securities Regulation. Professor Ramsay is a current member of the Takeovers Panel, has practiced law in Australia and the United States and is one of Australia's foremost corporate law experts.
