Professor Benny K B Kwok is a forensic accountant and an expert witness. Qualified more than three decades ago as Chartered Accountant in the UK and subsequently as a Certified Public Accountant in Hong Kong, Professor Kwok’s career has spanned private and public sectors in Hong Kong and the UK, and was awarded professional designations in affiliated fields of Chartered Surveyor, Chartered Tax Adviser, Chartered Construction Manager and Certified Fraud Examiner during 1990s and 2000s. Professor Kwok regularly produces expert reports in relation to accounting, commercial and financial matters, such as quantification of losses, tracing of fund flows, analysis of transactions and valuation of businesses. Professor Kwok has attended arbitration hearings, disciplinary proceedings as well as trials in Courts, on civil and criminal cases, as an expert witness to testify on his opinion and other associated evidence, and has also served as the single joint expert in civil proceedings under respective orders of Court. Professor Kwok has recently been appointed as an Adjunct Professor of the University of Hong Kong and as an independent non-executive director of a public company listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
