About the Author

Cordelia Thomas, LLB (Otago), LLM (VUW) (first class Hons), PhD (VUW) was a senior lecturer in law at Wellington Polytechnic, then at Massey University, where she taught a variety of subjects, including estates law and practice. She continues to teach estates law and practice, environmental health law, and is a member of the Legal Aid Review Panel, the New Zealand Law Society's Health Law committee and the Massey University Human Ethics Committee. She is the National Course Director of the Legal Executives course on behalf of the New Zealand Law Society.
