About the author
Laurie Fransman QC, Barrister, Garden Court Chambers has specialised in British nationality law for 30 years. During that time he has become recognised as the leading expert on the subject; his book now being regarded as a definitive work. He is responsible for the British nationality title in Halsbury’s Laws, and has participated in the drafting of statutory, constitutional and treaty provisions and the development of nationality policy by intergovernmental bodies and NGOs.

Contributors to the Third Edition
Adrian Berry, Barrister, Garden Court Chambers, has an extensive practice in British nationality law, both in relation to historic Commonwealth based claims and contemporary issues concerning automatic acquisition of citizenship, naturalisation and registration, as well as loss of nationality.
