It will also teach students the art of legal writing, including how to (iv) structure legal arguments, (v) draft both persuasive and predictive memoranda, and (vi) write in a clear and convincing manner. Finally, the book provides a number of tips for surviving law school and the first few years of practice. Examples are provided based on Singapore law, as well as English law and the laws of other common-law jurisdictions. About the Author

Ong Ee Ing

Ong Ee Ing is currently a Lecturer at the Singapore Management University School of Law. She teaches Legal Research and Writing, as well as Ethics and Social Responsibility. Before that, she was a Senior Associate at the Singapore office of Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy LLP, working on a wide range of cross-border mergers & acquisitions, leveraged finance, capital markets offerings, and other corporate law transactions. She also clerked for the Hon. Peter B. Krauser, Chief Judge of the Court of Special Appeals of Maryland. In her pre-law life, she worked at the Singapore Ministry of Defence.
