Since the publication of the Hong Kong Corporate Insolvency Manual (2002), there have been significant developments in Hong Kong insolvency law and practice. The Second Editions of this Manual addresses the developments in corporate insolvency and will be a valuable resource for accounting and legal professionals working in the field.

The Second Edition of this Manual expands the discussion of many topics and also include additional chapters on two important areas of insolvency law and practice – the new PRC bankruptcy law and cross-border insolvency. The authors take a practical approach to corporate insolvency, drawing upon illustrations from Hong Kong practice and providing checklists to assist professionals handling the day-to-day administration of insolvencies.

Stephen Briscoe is a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner (UK) with over 35 years’ experience in the field of insolvency. He has practised in Hong Kong since 1997 and is the Managing Director of Briscoe & Wong Ltd.

Charles D. Booth is a Professor of Law and the Director of the Institute of Asian-Pacific Business Law at the University of Hawaii. Formerly a member of the Faculty of Law at the University of Hong Kong, Booth has taught and written about Hong Kong insolvency law and practice for more than 20 years.
