About the Author

Jan Luba QC

Jan specialises in housing law with particular emphasis on homelessness, allocations, housing management law, and housing conditions. Jan has considerable experience as a housing law trainer and has written widely on housing issues in both the legal and housing press. He is the co-author of the forthcoming 3rd editionHousing Allocation and Homelessness: Law and Practice (Jordans) and co-contributor to the monthly column Recent Developments in Housing Law published in the magazine Legal Action. He also writes the free weekly Housing Law Bulletin published by Garden Court Chambers. His latest venture is the on-line Case Law Digest service for which he is the Housing Cases Editor. He sits part-time as a judge (as a Recorder in the Civil Courts and at the Employment Appeal Tribunal) and is a patron of the Croydon Housing Aid Society.

Liz Davies

Liz specialises in all aspects of housing law, with a particular specialism in homelessness and allocation of social housing. She also practises in areas of community care, particularly where community care intersects with homelessness. She is the co-author of the forthcoming 3rd edition of Housing Allocation and Homelessness: Law and Practice (Jordans) Liz is committed to acting for the homeless, and for tenants, and has a tenacious and practical approach to conducting her cases. She is on the panel for the Bar Pro Bono Unit. She has been recommended in social housing in Chambers and Partners since 2007 and has been ranked in Band 1 since 2009.
