About the Author

Asish Bhattacharyya
Asish K Bhattacharyya is a Professor of Finance and Control at the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIMC). Prior to joining IIMC, he was Technical Director at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). Earlier, he was Professor at S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai. Dr Bhattacharyya also held senior positions in industry for nearly two decades. He then shifted academia in 1993. Dr Bhattacharyya obtained his doctoral degree (D.Phil) from Allahabad University. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and also a Fellow of the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India.
