Through the years since the enactment of the National Language Acts 1963/67, a vast array of legal terminology in Bahasa Malaysia has come into common use in the courts of Malaysia. In addition to that, the development of Islamic banking and finance and Syariah law has seen the generous application of Arabic terms in legal writing and documents. In this new edition of Istilah Undang-Undang, some 700 new terms or phrases in Bahasa Malaysia, English and Arabic have been added, making this book an essential tool for legal practitioners, judges, academicians, students and court officials alike, for the convenience and ease of the user in the translation of legal terms from English to Bahasa Malaysia and vice versa, and the understanding of Arabic terms especially those used in the field of Islamic banking and finance.
