About the Author

Katheryn A. Andresen

Andresen is a founding partner of the law firm of Andresen Law, PLLC. Ms. Andresen is an experienced transactional and litigation attorney, with an emphasis in intellectual property considerations. She is a frequent author and guest speaker on information technology–related matters, both nationally and internationally. She authored the chapter on privacy claims in the Minnesota Business Torts Deskbook (Minnesota CLE, 2008 and update 2009).

She is a member and past chair of the Minnesota State Bar Association's Computer Law Section, a member of the American Bar Association and its Business Law Section, and a member of the Information Technology Law Association. Ms. Andresen earned her J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School. She earned a B.A. from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, and an M.A. in international relations from Boston University and has a diploma in advanced international legal studies from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.
