The New Companies Ordinance is expected to come into effect next February/March 2014. The new law is a total re-write of the old law as most of the sections of the former Cap. 32 have been rendered null and void except for the winding-up and insolvency provisions in Cap. 32. These provisions have been re-titled as the new insolvency laws.
