All contracted providers of publicly funded mainstream legal aid services are contractually required to have access to the LSC Manual via a subscription with its publisher.

Due to customer demand the new and updated version of the LSC Manual has been reduced from four Volumes to three: Crime, Civil Law and Funding Code.

Volume 1: Crime This volume will cover the new Standard Contract for crime. It also contains the relevant statutory materials and arrangements and directions, together with supplementary guidance on Criminal Defence Service codes.

Volume 2: Civil Volume 2 will contain the new Standard Contract for civil legal aid.

Volume 3: Funding Code This volume will contain the new Standard Contract for funding. Prepared by the Commission and approved by Parliament, the Funding Code determines which cases the Commission may fund as part of the Community Legal Service.

All providers contracted by the LSC to provide legal aid in the field of Crime will be required to purchase a subscription to:-

Volume 1: Criminal Law

All providers contracted by the LSC to provide legal aid in the field of Civil law and Funding will be required to purchase a subscription to:-

Volume 2: Civil Law
Volume 3: Funding Code

Each of these products can be bought individually, or as a bundle, in book format and CD.
