About the Author

JO SAMANTA Principal Lecturer at Leicester De Montfort Law School, UK, with research and teaching interests in medical law and ethics, and particular expertise on end of life and clinical practice issues in relation to law. In addition to being a qualified solicitor in England and Wales, she is also a qualified nurse, and has held a range of senior nursing posts. 
  
ASH SAMANTA Consultant Rheumatologist and Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust and a Lecturer at Leicester De Montfort Law School, both of the UK, teaching medical law and ethics to medical students and allied health care professionals.
