Aisenberg, a former patent practitioner for more than 50 years and former patent examiner, is a former partner in the Washington, D.C., law firm of Jacobson Holman, PLLC. He has written widely over the years on different aspects of patent practice, claims, and prosecution.

In addition to lecturing and publishing numerous articles relating to patent law and practice, Aisenberg served on the Editorial Advisory Board of a leading patent law publication. He is a member of the District of Columbia and American Bar Associations as well as the American Intellectual Property Law Association and the International Association for the Protection of Industrial Property.
