About the Author

Marcus Turle is a partner in the Technology and Outsourcing Group at Field Fisher Waterhouse LLP. He advises on the commercial legal issues affecting organisations which buy, use or sell technology, and has worked on some of the largest and most innovative outsourcing projects of recent times, including the previous government's national identity card scheme and the outsourcing of the National DNA Database by the Forensic Science Service. Marcus is also editor of Data Protection Laws of the World, a two volume loose-leaf updated biannually covering data protection legislation in 65 countries, joint editor of the Freedom of Information Handbook (Law Society, April 2008), and author of the Freedom of Information Manual.
