David Grinlinton has been at the Faculty of Law of the University of Auckland since1990, having previously spent time in legal practice. 
David’s teaching and research interests include real property law, commercial leases, energy and natural resources law. He has published 
widely in these areas, and is a regular presenter at both local and international conferences and symposia.

He contributed to the consultation process for the substantial reforms of the Residential Tenancies Act in 2010, and to the current Law Commission proposals for a new Land Transfer Act. David was a co-presenter of the New Zealand Law Society Seminars on Commercial Leases in 2000, 2003 and 2008, and The Workings of the Property Law Act in 2012.
