About the Author

Osmond Lam

LL.M., University of London; LL.B., University of Manchester; CEDR accredited mediator

Prior to being called to the Bar in Hong Kong in 1991, Osmond was called to the English Bar in 1988, did a master degree in University of London, and served under the Crown Prosecution Service as a prosecutor for almost 2 years in the Inner London area.

Osmond accrued an impressive 30 years of experience in litigating and advising on criminal matters since 1992, earning him the distinction of being one of the most dedicated and seasoned criminal barristers in Hong Kong.

Osmond's trial advocacy is of the highest calibre in Hong Kong, particularly the instinctive style of his cross-examination which allows him to expose weaknesses in the evidence of a witness. In addition, Osmond's deep understanding and knowledge of the law go hand in hand with his strong common sense and "human touch", in other words, Osmond excels in understanding a case from the perspective of the lay client demonstrating a strong sense of empathy, while being able to discern the weaknesses of the prosecution's case.

In addition, Osmond is extremely meticulous and he brings the same level of dedication to all of his work, which includes some of the most complicated and high-profile cases (especially white-collar/ICAC related cases).
