Details

The technology outsourcing market is huge, with predictions that it will soon be over $200 billion. Most of those deals require a unique outsourcing contract and the lawyer's role in negotiating and drafting is a key success factor.

This book clearly outlines the steps involved in preparing for, advising on, negotiating and concluding the contract. Written by experts in the field it offers practical coverage of:

  • the procurement and the bidding process, with useful checklists and flowcharts
  • the outsourcing contract - how should it be structured and what the key points are
  • information systems outsourcing, telecommunication systems outsourcing, business process outsourcing and web hosting
  • specific requirements of the public sector
  • benchmarking
  • employment, pension and tax issues.

The book also contains many precedent clauses for outsourcing contracts. It is essential reading for lawyers, in-house counsel, government lawyers and other interested parties who need to gain a comprehensive understanding of these complex agreements.
