The Arbitration Ordinance of Hong Kong: A Commentary with 1997 Supplement aims to help lawyers and people from any professional discipline who act as arbitrators or who are otherwise involved in the arbitration process

to understand the Arbitration Ordinance (Cap 341). This work is also intended as a key resource for researchers and students on arbitration and dispute resolution courses.

Each provision of the Ordinance is explained by extensive cross-referencing and references to case law. Reference is also made to related legislation and Supreme Court Practice Directions. There is extensive comparison with both the existing English Arbitration Acts 1950-1979 and the Arbitration Act 1996. The provisions of the Arbitration (Amendment) Ordinance (No 75 of 1996) are also taken into account.
