Details

Originally published in 1922, this book presents the content of a series of lectures on the general eyre delivered in the University of London at the request of the Faculty of Laws.

The text gives a concise account of the eyres from their development during the late twelfth century to their ultimate cessation at the end of the thirteenth, focusing mainly on their use in relation to financial matters rather than on judicial areas. Three lectures are contained and an introduction is also included.

This book will be of value to anyone with an interest in the general eyre and English legal history.
