Tolley's Customs and Excise Duties Handbook Set 2013-2014

The Customs & Excise Duties Handbook 2013 combines the content from both the Customs Duties Handbook and The Excise Duties Handbook, and publishes it as a six volume work, with up–to–date content on both these subject areas.

The 6 volumes are arranged as follows:

• Volume 1: GENERAL
• Volume 2: CUSTOMS
• Volume 3: PRODUCT DUTIES (Alcohol, tobacco, hydrocarbon oils)
• Volume 4: ENVIRONMENTAL TAXES (landfill tax, climate change levy, aggregates levy, air passenger duty)
• Volume 5: BETTING AND GAMING DUTIES
• Volume 6: VEHICLE EXCISE DUTIES (VED)

Volume 1 is intended as an essential ’quick reference guide’ to the most commonly used legislation. It can also be used as a portable volume to be taken to court/client meetings.

Splitting the legislation by type of duty also enables us to approach various institutes/organisations about the possibility of bulk deals for individual volumes e.g. the DVLA and the Road Haulage Association for Volume 6 – Vehicle Excise Duty, and the Remote Gambling Association for Volume 5 – Betting

There will be numerous new measures in Finance Act 2013 concerning Customs & Excise, and many changes that have already happened over the last year, which are incorporated into the joint handbook.
