Jackson Shuai-Sheng Huang
 

Jackson Shuai-Sheng Huang is a partner with Formosa Transnational Attorneys at Law in Taipei, Taiwan. He practices in the areas of cross-border litigation and arbitration, international trade, corporate and financial regulations, mergers and acquisitions, and antitrust.

He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Soochow University School of Law and Masters of Laws degrees from London School of Economics and Political Science and Columbia University School of Law. He is a member of the Taipei Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association.

 

Kristi Swartz
 
Kristi L. Swartz, originally from Texas, has practiced law in Hong Kong since 1996 after moving from the United Kingdom. She was the principal at Hong Kong-based independent law firm Swartz Solicitors before the collaboration with Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge in 2008. She is also a member of the Law Societies in Hong Kong, England, and Wales. Ms. Swartz’s main area of practice is business law with a focus in corporate finance, SFC licensing and enforcement, restructuring, joint ventures, and Hong Kong Stock Exchange enquiries. Working closely with the SFC and HK Stock Exchange, Ms. Swartz is experienced in leading licensing and enforcement enquiries, as well as stock exchange enquiries. Her background in compliance, structuring, and corporate finance provides a strong backbone and a wealth of knowledge when practicing across a myriad of industries, such as finance, venture capital, and telecommunications. Ms. Swartz also has extensive experience in heading up legal departments and company secretarial companies in addition to overseeing companies on all aspects of legal and compliance matters. She has performed merger and acquisition activities on companies in Asia Pacific and legal due diligence for various notable joint ventures and has advised clients on financial and tax structuring in China. Having advised Fortune 500 companies and high- profile, high-net-worth individuals across the globe, particularly Hong Kong, China, Europe, and Russia, Ms. Swartz is able to conduct matters in Hong Kong, and is dually qualified to advise on English law. She is also a partner with Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge.
 
Kyle A. Wombolt
 

Wombolt is a partner in the Hong Kong office of Goodwin Procter LLP and is a member of the firm’s Securities, SEC Enforcement, and White Collar practice groups. Mr. Wombolt is an internationally recognized expert on conducting business in the international arena. He has represented a broad range of clients in matters arising in more than 35 countries.

Mr. Wombolt regularly represents clients in cross-border investigations and litigation, with a focus on matters arising under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and U.S. securities laws. He also regularly advises on FCPA and securities-related disclosures, FCPA compliance programs, and risk mitigation in foreign transactions. He frequently works with U.S.-based clients investing and operating in Asia, as well as with Asia-based clients investing in the United States.

Mr. Wombolt is a frequent writer and speaker on international law and business. Born and reared in Idaho, he received his bachelor of science degree from the University of Idaho (magna cum laude) and his juris doctor from the University of Idaho College of Law (summa cum laude).

Shawn M. Wright
 
Shawn M. Wright concentrates her practice in the area of white collar criminal litigation, with a specific focus on the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and international anti-corruption laws. She represents corporations and individuals in a wide range of internal investigations, audits and risk assessments, parallel proceedings, and complex civil litigation, before enforcement agencies and bodies such as the Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and other authorities. Ms. Wright’s practice includes internal compliance program development for the FCPA, including establishing workplace compliance policies and procedures, due diligence in mergers and acquisitions, third-party relationships, and other transactions. She conducts internal investigations, prepares disclosures for violations of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and provides counsel on possible criminal exposure for violations involving the Department of Treasury Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). Additionally, Ms. Wright has substantial experience in defending high-profile clients against criminal and civil charges in federal and state courts throughout the country with significant experience in alleged violations of fraud, securities, health care, public corruption, and other criminal statutes. Ms. Wright serves as a commissioner on the Maryland Commission on Human Relations. She maintains active membership in the various bar associations, the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics, Society of International Affairs, Women in International Trade, and the Lawyers Council of the Maryland State Democratic Party.
