About the Author

Jonathan Black has worked in the magistrate's court service since qualifying as a solicitor in 1980. He has been a Clerk to the Justices since 1988 and currently holds his fourth Clerkship (Hampshire & Isle of Wight). His extensive experience in lecturing and writing includes two books as well as articles in Criminal Law Review and New Law Journal.
