Details

The Labour Law Handbook is divided into three main divisions. Division I is a commentary on the practice and procedures relating to Labour Law. Division II contains the Employment Act 1955 (Act 265) and the Industrial Relations Act 1967 (Act 177) and extracts of the relevant statutes and the Rules of the High Court 1980, duly annotated with case law and other relevant information. Division III contains Forms and Precedents, both in English and Bahasa Malaysia, which will be useful to practitioners. All three divisions have footnotes, which cross-refer to various parts within each division and between other divisions, making the use of the three divisions quick and easy.

In preparing the Labour Law Handbook, references have been made to and obtained from the work published in The Malaysian Court Forms in Civil Proceedings titled Labour Law (XVII). The generosities of Mr. Siva Kumar Kanagasabai and Ms. Selvamalar Alagaratnam, in their capacity as advisory editors, in sharing with us their wealth of knowledge and experience as practitioners are greatly valued and appreciated.
