R. v. Sullivan, 2022 SCC 19 – a person convicted of an indictable offence who is granted a new trial by a court of appeal has no right under s. 691 to seek leave to appeal from that decision
R. v. Basque, (SCC Docket 39997) – wherein the Court granted leave to appeal after the Chief Justice of the Court of Appeal below (New Brunswick) commented that there was a lack of consensus within the courts of the various provinces on the issue (credit for a pretrial driving prohibition against the mandatory minimum sentence for impaired driving) and the Crown, in its response to the leave application, acknowledged the importance of clarifying such a frequently applied sentencing provision
F. v. N., 2022 SCC 51 – a review of the legal principles involved in return orders under s. 40 of the CLRA and the serious harm threshold under s. 23 in a family law case where the country the child would return to is not a party to the Hague Convention
Richardson v. Richardson, 2021 SCC 36, wherein the Court declined to decide what would be in the best interests of the children in the case because there was insufficient evidence before the Court as to what had occurred in the time since the original hearing before the court of first instance
