Details

Since its inception in July 2007, in excess of 800 cases have been reported in the Personal Injury Reports (PIR). The cases reported cover a range of awards made in personal injury claims by the Sessions Courts as well as by the High Court and the Court of Appeal.

These cases have now been consolidated in the form of thePersonal Injury Reports Consolidated Tables 2007 – 2012 which would serve as a completeand handy reference to all cases that have been reported in the PIR from 2007to 2012.

For ease of reference, the Personal Injury Reports Consolidated Tables 2007 – 2012 is divided into four parts, namely:

Anatomical illustrations

This section contains illustrations of the anatomy and serves as a quick reference for identification of the various parts of the anatomy, types of fractures, etc.

Table of reported cases (Alphabetical)

This table of reported cases is an alphabetical listing of cases that have been reported. Cases are also listed with the parties’ names in reverse to ease the task of locating cases where only one party’s name is known. Cases cited in the reverse however do not carry any citation, e.g.:

This is an alphabetical listing of cases determined by the Court of Appeal, High Court and Sessions Court.

Quantum Table

The Quantum Table, is a concise listing and quick referenceguide of awards that have been made by the courts. Injuries are categorized and citations are included for cross-referencing to the specific cases.
