This new book series Chinese Perspectives on Human Rights and Good Governance involves various aspects of human rights and good governance in China, including international human rights standards, specific substantive rights protection, good governance and rule of law, as well as constitutionalism, especially in the context of contemporary China.

In the first volume, the invited contributors adopt different disciplinary approaches to look at China not only in its territorial micro constraints but also as a global player in the development of the macro academic study of human rights. Most of them are top scholars and the authors of the main publications that marked milestones in the Chinese academic field of human rights, and are thus capable to comment on the overall themes of the book series.
