Details

Real estate valuation is an art requiring skill, judgment and experience. There is no prescriptive way in which to value any property: the approach is entirely down to the valuer. This book demystifies the number crunching and provides fresh ideas for new approaches.

The 101 worked examples illustrate the many different scenarios a valuer may encounter and the different techniques that can be employed. Each calculation is clearly set out, and the jargon-free commentary highlights points of interest and danger areas.

Customer Review:

'Unique little handbook which rolls up it's sleeves and sets out straight forward valuation formats with a brief summary of the approach. It's also handy as a reminder of points to consider. Perhaps future editions could extend to the investment valuation of shops with residential uppers and leasehold reform act valuations would be handy too. Should have been written years ago - I would have appreciated this as a student as well as a practitioner. Seems expensive but it's chock full of know-how so good value.'
