合約法是現代商業社會一個十分重要的法律課題，與我們日常生活息息相關。香港中文大學的羅敏威博士，多年來參與有關合約法的教學工作，有感自香港回歸以來，坊間反映合約法最新發展的中文書並不多，遂編撰成此最新的《香港合約法》，為我們深入淺出介紹有關合約法的法律原則、實踐及應用。

本書共分六大部分。第一部分介紹香港現行的法律制度，第二部分細述如何訂立合約及與此相關的課題，第三部分詳釋合約內容及不同合約內容對合約各方的效力，第四部分主要探討可影響合約效力的因素，第五部分則交代合約會在什麼情況下被解除，最後一部分是討論違約補救措施和違約訴訟時限。

香港合約法沿自英國合約法，為方便讀者理解相關法律精神及判案原則，作者除引用英國的相關案例，也參用本地法律書籍及期刊和選引香港相關法庭案例為佐證，特別適合本地的法律工作者及學生使用。

羅敏威，香港中文大學會計學院導師(法律)。主要研究公法(憲法、行政法、人權法及刑法)、合約法及家事法等。近年著有《香港人權法新論》一書。曾在2007年及2010年得到香港中文大學工商管理學院授予傑出教學獎。
