Karyl Nairn focuses on international arbitration and commercial litigation, acting for governments and corporations in a range of industry sectors including finance and banking, commodities, sports, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, and telecommunications.

The Law Society has granted her the Higher Courts Civil Proceedings Qualification, and she is authorized to exercise the rights of audience in the High Court in all proceedings and in all civil proceedings in other courts.

Ms. Nairn serves as vice president of the ICC International Court of Arbitration in Paris and is also a member of the ICC Commission on Arbitration.

She is regularly appointed as counsel or arbitrator in complex international commercial disputes in cases conducted under the auspices of the leading international arbitral institutions such as the LCIA, ICC, SCC, ZCC, AAA and ICSID. Ms. Nairn advises on private and public international law issues in both arbitration and litigation cases.
