This book was conceived in response to students' requirement for a more readable version of 'Criminal Law in Singapore and Malaysia: Text and Materials' by KL Koh, CMV Clarkson & NA Morgan, a standard text for Criminal Law. Harassed for time, students required a concise version for their study needs.

This publication attempts to fill that niche. Using material from 'Criminal Law in Singapore and Malaysia' by Koh, Clarkson & Morgan, topics are concisely presented to facilitate easier reading and understanding. Where relevant, certain topics had been restructured and updated with current cases. It is hoped that this concise version will meet with students' immediate needs although for deeper understanding of the subject, it is suggested that use be made of the text by Koh, Clarkson & Morgan.
