Des Butler is a Professor of Law at the Faculty of Law, Queensland University of Technology, where he has taught Contract Law since 1989. He is the author or co-author of numerous books and articles on topics including contract law, psychiatric injury caused by negligence and media law. He has received numerous awards for his work, including the inaugural LexisNexis/Australasian Law Teachers Association Award for Excellence and Innovation in the Teaching of Law.
