During the last three years that lapsed since the second edition of BANKING LAW (which was published in 1995), there were significant changes and happenings within the banking and finance industry. These changes included the composition of the financial system itself, the enforcement of the Anti-Money Laundering Act 2001, the Development Financial Institutions Act 2002, the Payment Systems Act 2003 as well as the cases on banking and finance which were decided by the courts. This third edition provides a current updated statement of principles and legal developments affecting the banking and finance industry.
