Paul Fairall is the Foundation Dean of Law with responsibility for establishing law as a central discipline within the Curtin Business School. He previously served as Foundation Dean of Law at the University of South Australia (2007 - 2011), Dean of Law at the University of Adelaide from (2002- 2006) and Dean of Law at James Cook University (1995 – 2001). He is a former Chair of the Council of Australian Law Deans and a Director of the Australian Academy of Law.

Malcolm Barrett is a Senior Lecturer and Director of Law Cairns Campus, Faculty of Law, Business & the Creative Arts at James Cook University. He lectures in the areas of Criminal Law, Human Rights Law and International Law.
