Co-ordinating author Avril Henry is well known and highly respected in the business and HR community in both the public and the private sectors. She consults to blue chip organisations and government departments on leadership development, HR and staff retention strategies, and change management. Her current clients include the Australian Federal Police, Prime Minister’s Office, Australian National Audit Office, Department of Education, Science and Training, New South Wales Police, Toyota, CBA, Merck Sharp Dohme and IBM.

Avril’s career has spanned senior roles in Finance, IT Project Management, Change Management and HR. She has worked in South Africa, Australia, the UK and USA, and has held HR Director roles at DMR Consulting Group, Merrill Lynch and Clayton Utz.

Avril was one of three finalists in the 2004 Australian HR Awards for the Lifetime Achievement in HR Award and in 2002, was one of five finalists in the same awards for Best HR Director.
